Amazing Punjabi restaurant! The food tastes just like home. Especially the dishes made by Chef Sukhi — the butter chicken and dal makhani are outstanding. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

TLDR: amazing home style punjabi cooking. friendly and courteous chef and kitchen staff. god bless them. we stopped by here on our way back from Vegas. our mind was blonw away at the quality of the food. this is truly a hole in the wall place with taste directly from Patiyala Punjab. Please try their mixed veg, karahi paneer and chicken.

I had an amazing experience at this dhaba! The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic Indian taste. Every dish had that perfect balance of spices that reminded me of homemade cooking. The service was quick, friendly, and made me feel very welcome. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. If you are looking for real Indian food with a homely touch, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!”

Recommend truckers. Very good food. We loved it. We had mattar paneer and daal makhni. Sukhi bai did a great job and his partner.

Do not let the fact that this is in a gas station throw you off the food is absolutely fantastic. I don't have a lot of experience with Indian food but wanted to try some. They have a print menu that has a description of all of the dishes and the ingredients so you can actually make informed decisions about what you would like to try. If you were staying at one of the hotels close it is well worth the short walk I really thought the chicken tikka masala what's fabulous. I also had the Black Channa Masala, and it was very good as well. Between the two small size containers I got enough food for dinner add lunch the next day I will be back and I highly recommend them

We seek something other than typical chain restaurants when traveling, and so discovered this gem in Barstow. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and served by a very welcoming and accommodating owner/staff. Two entrees along with naan or roti easily served two adults. We'll be making Punjabi Kitchen a regular stop when we're in town, including picking up a meal to eat later at our destination.
